See Ya, Spring...Hello, Summer!

Daily Photo(s)

To preface this entry, heartfelt sympathies go out to my fellow Hoosiers who suffered damage or injury in this weekends storms, including dad, who lost an enormous tree in his front yard, clipping grandma's car during its descent.  Best wishes to all of you.

Gotta love the midwest as the approaching summer heat begins to build.  It was just a few short months ago on a lovely, crisp fall day that I blogged about this tree located behind our engineering facility.  As of late Friday night, it has been reduced to kindling, but not before it took out a concrete picnic table and some wrought iron chairs.

At the risk of sounding like a controversial actress, maybe it was karma for the tree being so mean and scary.

Hmmmm.... what kind of tree was it?  Maybe it could become fuel for the Pilgrimage barbecue?  I think any hardwood will work, some better than others though may not be enough time for proper seasoning.
