Tube Torture

Daily Photo

I found this pretty Cayin Audio tube amp sitting all alone on top of some boxes in engineering the other day.  I thought it might give some of you audiophiles the shakes knowing it's not hooked up to any of the hundreds of speakers we have downstairs.

Yes, I do have a dark side.

The Cayin gear we listened to in Hope 2006 was very good. Is this that amp?

It got displaced by McIntosh gear in the architectural listening room.   This is the room where the P-39F's were demoed at the pilgrimage.

Don't feel bad.  At one time we had Krell gear in there also.

This is JUST WRONG.

Shipping would be less to the Home For Neglected Audio Gear in Kokomo you decide to send it out to a foster home.

We allow equipment of all kinds, tube and solid state, to coexist peacefully.

We would rather gear to be personally delivered and can often arragne pick up of orphaned equipment due to it's fragile nature or the occasional abusive nature of the shipping companies.

No, no, seti, let the arkansas ex-patriates in florida find homes for orphaned tube amps first.  Um, it's because, um...yeah, we stay inside more in summer.  Yeah, that's it, that's the ticket.  It's hot down here, and we stay inside to stay cool, and that means having bridge parties with lots of alcohol.  All these guests like good music.  Um, OK?  Hahahaha
