Meet Rick, Vice President of Engineering

Daily Photo

This easy-going fellow came to Klipsch in early 2007 from the Chicago area, first hired as Director of Advanced Development and quickly moving through the ranks to his current VP status.  He's just that good.  Having originally hailed from the Mill-ee-whah-kay area, he is a die hard cheesehead Packer fan, so you can imagine his stress as of late.  The Jets???

Rick has been involved with various jazz bands during his 20 years experience on the sax, and hopes to get into the Indy jazz circuit with his latest quartet.  We were lucky enough witness their debut at the Klipsch picnic last month, and look forward to hearing them around town when the time comes.  When I asked him if he had a website or a place to listen to his music, he admitted that he doesn't yet, but has recorded a round of loop tracks designed to be used as background music for commercials.  So you may hear him and not even know it.  Which is pretty cool.

When he's not tooting his own horn or managing the engineering design and development of all Klipsch products, Rick is spending time with his wife and two young sons.  After having a quick bite to eat with them one evening, I marvel once again how some kids can be so immaculately behaved.  They must take after their easy-going dad.

That was some wicked Shure mic selection he brought to the Klipsch picnic too. And all played through Klispch PA and monitors- it doesn't get much better than that! Man can he play those horns too!
