Lunchtime Entertainment, Part II

Posted Wednesday, March 04, 2009 9:46 AM by Amy Unger

The first email I check in the morning is always the one from Chef J.J., which not only includes the daily grub, but usually a quick tidbit of humor or information as well.  Today's menu was prefaced with this:

"Every Wednesday lunch, local troubadour Tim Brickley brings his unique blend of rock, folk & jazz to J.J.’s Café @ Klipsch. He has over 100 songs on his “music menu” so come on down & just shout out, “Number 27” & tada, your tune is served… Play a little shuffleboard, have some lunch, listen to some tunes, we got it all!!!"

If you're in the Indy area, you should stop by!

So can non-Klipsch employees show up for lunch?  Amy did say we should stop by.... so what are the lunch hours when Tim performs?

Lunch with live music, now that'd be way uber cool.  Dang, I'd buy lunch at work if we had live music... but it's been years since I've worked where we had a cafeteria.

Hmmm.... did we see those speakers in a post from Trey or at least in the background with a teaser line about wondering what they were for?

Sure, come on down. JJ would love to have you. The food is GOOD and Tim does a Fine job.  If it ever gets warmer, we will move it outside.

Yes, you did see a teaser...nice to know someone is watching...

The LSI's are not hooked up. We just sold them to JJ. He will be using them when he plays.  He took one look at them and said, I want thoes. He has not even heard them.

I guess the passion has rubbed off...

I went to Klipsch and had the 'Charlie special' today. Yummy, it's a patty melt with turkey and tomato. It was fun seeing a lot of old friends at the lunch room. Tim and I used to run the wedding circuit together and played some of the biggest rooms in the city- Indiana Roof Ballroom among them.  Even stopped in the Engineering lobby and drooled on the Lowther and other speakers from the museum. WOW

Wow that is an awesome invite.

I am so tired of eating at the 96th and Micigan Road (Pyramid's corridor) restaraunts everyday for lunch for the last 16 years.

I would love to come over for lunch sometime. But I would feel a bit strange walking in the big ole HQ building front doors and announcing "I am here for lunch".

Could you please provide some more deatils.

davisindy-

Send me an email - amy.unger@klipsch.com

And bring some friends!  We have many people come from the Pyramids and other surrounding buildings for lunch.  Lots of new faces.

DavisIndy- you just drive around back to the engineering side of the building, walk in the back doors and turn left, JJ's is right there. No armed guard or nothing (unless you run into the building superintendent).

It would be fun if a bunch of us made it a weekly ritual. The lunch is good and so is the entertainment and fellowship!

It's great seeing the Pilgrims weekly too!  Come on down.  We might even let you twist some knobs on the board if you are qualified.  Although I have got to admit that Tim sounds great with out a PA...

Thump It!
