Klipsch Introduces LightSpeaker at CES 2010

How did you like my formal, official-sounding blog title?  I'm also trying to be more straight-foward this year, in addition to staying on topic.  Not so sure it's "me."

It has been announced today we are releasing a ground-breaking product, the concept of which is so simple it makes you want to smack your forehead with an open-palm and shout "Duh!"  LightSpeaker combines green LED lighting with ambient sound to enjoy throughout your home, simply and affordably.

While you can see plenty of pictures on our product page, I prefer to show my amateur shot from the engineering lab of the pretty box art.  Don't ask about the sawed-in-half driver basket on top of the box.  I have no idea.

LightSpeaker is such a cool name.

Yeah, so what's with the sawed in half driver basket on top of the boxes?  I'm sure the engineers wouldn't have complained too much had you moved it for the picture...  though it does make the picture more interesting....

It seems this type of product might do well.  So does this use the KlipschCast type of transmission used with the CS 700 and RoomGroove?  Too bad that seemed to never really take off - a really cool concept.  Seems it could have been expanded to products like this and maybe even higher fidelity uses.

My entire family and friends out here think this is absolutely brilliant, and I'm not just talking about the light it produces.  I'd love to try these out, hopefully the dealer near me will order some in!
