It's weeks like these that make me want to move to Canada - when it feels as though I'm swimming in a hot tub as I step outside. Of course I wouldn't say that in the dead of winter, but this is ridiculous. We aren't supposed to water the lawn any more, and the county-wide firework and burn ban is in full force. It's like we're in this episode of the Twilight Zone.

I'm glad the city was still able to put on their fireworks show Wednesday. I took some photos, just in case we all incinerate and I never get the opportunity again. (As you can sense, I'm a ray of sunshine when it's hot out.)

I hope everyone is staying cool and being safe. Fill up those kiddie pools (unless you're under a watering ban), and crank up the rock speakers!

Hey Amy!

Congrats on the promotion at work!

sorry this is off topic of your posting.  BUT i noticed the Lightspeakers are already discontinued on the website.

not too long ago didn't they win an award @ CES for best new product?

how come they are gone?

Will they be back?

was it due to the price?

I hope the price will come down.... IF they come back at all...

Thanks and congrats again!

Be sure to stay cool.  Awesome fireworks photo.

Countywide burn ban up here in Kokotucky / Howard county too.  Most fireworks cancelled.

Be sure to dump the kiddie pools every 6 days or less and refill.  Mosquitoes take 7 days to hatch.  No water before than and no mosquitoes from that source.

Know how to keep frogs out of one's vinyly lined steel pond?  Above ground swimming pool.

Oh yes congrats on the promotion if I've not already done so.  Do we have to call you Ms Unger now?
