While his duties here aren't always the most enjoyable--basically gathering essential information for marketing materials and managing projects--he does it all with a smile and weird sense of humor that rivals my own. What would you expect from a guy whose favorite movie is Christmas Vacation, and frequently quotes Caddyshack?

And I would never tell anyone (except the internet) that since his family owns Indianapolis-based Hurst Beans, he can sometimes score excellent parking passes for Colts games at the new Lucas Oil Stadium. But only pre-season games. And games against the Lions.

Here he is posing most creepily with his alter-ego, organist Leroy Lewis. After the pilgrims rifled through them like kids in a candy store, the remaining stash was left for Klipsch employees. The result of this generosity is some of the most interesting cubicle-art this company has ever seen.

Exhibit A: Sharie Lynn And Her Show-fers. Upon trying to locate information on this pink-clad big-haired dynamo and her back up quartet of stunt motorcyclists, I came across a lone reference on this hilarious blog, which has a collection of such "vinyl oddities." Go ahead, take a look. I guarantee you won't be able to keep a straight face either.

Captain Fantastic and the Brown Dirt Cowboy

Daily Photo

One of the highlights of this year's Pilgrimage was the unexpected arrival of eight or so crate-sized boxes of vintage vinyl from Artto, a most generous forum member (thank you jamesV for delivery). We had a blast going through the albums, pointing to ones we may have had in our younger days, or just giggling at the goofy cover art and long forgotten artists.

This could not have come at a better time for me, since my recent turntable acquisition had left me on a quest for vinyl. Poke fun if you must, but I took home no less than five Olivia Newton-John albums, several in the Show Tune genre, a couple of '80s movie soundtracks, and the creme de la creme of campy cult classics: Grease 2. Yes, I admit back in the day I wanted nothing more than to be Michelle Pfeiffer, looking for a cool rider. But give me a break. I was 12.

Keith is shown here with possibly the most fascinating of the bunch, as far as artwork goes. If you ever happen upon this classic Elton John album, I encourage you to take some time to study the...interesting...things happening on the cover. Safe to say Dr. Freud would find it endlessly fascinating.
