A quick snap from yesterday while taking a stretch around the building. Of course, today is back to dreary and overcast. I'm thinking about getting this image poster-sized and hung behind me in my cube like a window...but wait, that would mean I work somewhere else. Then I'd be profoundly jealous of everyone inside the lovely building out my window who does nothing all day but make kick-ass speakers.

Some of you may remember, or have even seen in person, the hallway of doom that led to what used to be the marketing department. A few weeks after we moved down to engineering, the walls were finally adorned with our favorite photography from over the years. Figures.

I was going to simply post an "after" shot, but I thought I'd give you an idea of mural's size with the man working on it. Plus the lift he was using looked way fun.

The Klipsch headquarters main atrium wall, spanning 3 of our 4 floors, has been in desperate need of something since we moved here 8 years ago. The lone fixture that many of you have seen (and been photographed with) has been the KPT-MCM-4-T Grand, which covered all of about 1/20th of the space.

We are getting that something installed today, which is the design brain-child of resident artist and movie blogger MattM (don't worry, the MCM will still be around!). It may seem like a trivial thing, but the transformation of this building has been a tremendous bright spot after the overall somber tone of the past year. We are optimistic about moving forward, and taking ownership of this building through branding will go a long way towards that.

It finally feels like home.

Building Transformation

For the past few weeks, the marketing department, in addition to many other projects, has been tasked with finally adding some branding to our corporate headquarters. With little budget and a lot of ingenuity, we've have begun to do just that - starting with a giant corporate logo on this window, dividing our atrium lobby area with customer service on the interior.

I'll share some more of the cool new décor over the next few weeks.
