About Casavant
Mark Casavant, vice president of product development for Klipsch Group,
Inc., is responsible for product development for Klipsch, Jamo, Mirage
and Energy brands. Managing short and long term product pipeline
strategic planning on a global level, he provides leadership to the
multi-brand product teams toward corporate objectives and launch
schedules. Which is a walk in the park compared to his other job --
raising two daughters with his wife, Anne Marie.
Mark has 28 years of CE industry experience, and has been with Klipsch
since 1991. Mark gained industry experience with custom audio/video
firms in Florida, in sales, system design, and purchasing (always a
Klipsch dealer). Mark started as southeastern sales rep with Klipsch
but later moved into other positions including national training
director, director of market development, e-commerce and computer
audio, and business development, all prior to his current product
development duties.
His early appreciation for music as a teen turned into an audiophile
passion. His father introduced him to classical and big band music and
he took up playing the drums. He and his brother John have been
"hardcore" about A/V gear since they were kids.
Today he spends his spare time with local musicians learning new styles
of playing. He says, looking back, “thank God I didn’t quit my day job
in audio!” He regularly attends live performances as a reference for
voicing products. “That’s what it’s all about. Live music and that
whole experience!”
