I have all of this info on the about page of this blog but since we're just starting out here, I thought I would go ahead and put it in a post as well in case you haven't looked at that section yet...
Who Am I?
My name is Nathan Stambro and officially, my title is "Manager of
Web Technologies", which is just a fancy way of saying Webmaster. I
began working for Klipsch in 2000 and my responsibilities include
developing and maintaining the Klipsch website and Community website (aka Forums). I'm in the process of taking over developing and maintaining the Mirage, Energy, Athena and Jamo websites and Community websites. I also work on our dealer websites, Intranet
and other internal web-based applications. Of course, I don't do this all alone. We have a great team of people that I work with on our websites: Kevin, Amy and Matt.
I initially became interested in the Internet and began building
websites back in 1995. It amazes me how much has changed in such a
short time! Through the years, I've used many different web
technologies, but these days, the technologies I prefer are ASP.NET 2.0
(via VB.NET but can do a little C# too), XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, Ajax,
XML, SQL Server, etc.
Interests
Let's see...I'm a musician (there are quite a few musicians working
here at Klipsch). I play guitar primarily, although for the band I'm
currently in a Metal band where I play bass. I've played guitar in
Hardcore, Punk Rockish and Metal bands since 1995.
Listening to music is something I enjoy. I listen to a variety of
genres, ranging from Jazz, Rock, Hip-hop, Punk, Metal, etc. Lately,
I've been more into Heavy Metal/Progressive Metal more than anything,
bands like Symphony X, Dream Theater, Dio, Adagio, Iced Earth, Yngwie
Malmsteen, etc.
Movies are another interest of mine. I typically prefer Indie
flicks or anything that's somewhat original and makes you think.
That's probably why David Lynch is one of my favorite directors. I'd
say my all-time favorite movies are (not in any particular order):
Donnie Darko, Mulholland Drive, Lost Highway, The Machinist, Fight
Club, The Royal Tenenbaums, Old Boy, etc.
Anyway, that's a little bit about me.
