    That pretty well describes these speakers.   If you're local you're welcome to come see them.  I bought them less than a year ago and have decided they need to go to someone who can optimize them.   If you're interested tell me what they're worth to you.   I have no idea what they're worth.  I'm opening them up to Forum members first.

    If you want them get busy because I may change my mind and keep them.

    Wow.  That's a striking grain.  I think if I had those I couldn't help but get a bunch of dark brown leather furniture and start smoking cigars again.

    They'd look sweet as corn in June with a piece of brown marble and a Fairchild monoblock on top.

    Beautiful is an understatement... They are stunning.  I was looking at a sheet of Makassar ebony veneer, but not very long... a standard sheet is now well over $400.

    The serial number of one of the bass units is LF8841523 which I think makes them a 1987 model.

    Thank you everyone for your very nice comments.  I will regret for the rest of my days selling these (that is if someone has enough money to pry them away from me).  

    I will be taking some more photos over the next few days.  It is horribly overcast and rainy today in Dallas so I'll probably defer until I have better light (always an excuse when you're over 50 like me).
