My associate and good friend was in Dallas today (with an empty Suburban) and picked up the Elevens for me. A week ago I was oblivious to Frazier's. Now I have a pretty good feel for them. Serendipity finding the Super Midgets last Sat at my neighbors garage sale.

Well, John, you are now in rarified territory.

    Looking forward to the impressions...

well John, you've gone to midgets to Mark VI's to 11's in a week... I guess we can make you a member of the FUGGERS now! kidding  enjoy them, and I did notice in the pics from the guy, they did have the original foam grills, or they looked original. As far as the dust covers being pushed in on the woofers, that's not a problem. Take a straight pin, bend it at a 90 degree angle. insert into the cover, turn eiter up, or down, and pull the cover back to it's original shape. Just sayin...

Yes Todd, original foam grills ( kinda crumbly and a little cat damage about 18" up).  Sides in good shape, top a bit rough. Serial #s 106 & 108.  They are nicely matched on output but have found an annoying glitch in my Scott 272. The phase reverse switch nearly doubles the output on Channel B, no effect on Channel A.   Amp has been messed with before and after my acquisition so who knows.  Will employ your dust cap renovation. Thanks

    Re: Elevens

After a little more critical listening, I switched amps and flipped wiring to and from,  the mids and highs on #106 cannot quite keep up with #108.  The trimmers don't seem to have much effect... is time to re-cap?  Anyone have a schematic for this?  Any help appreciated.    The sound stage is quite large so can only compare between the two.

I'm fairly sure I have a hard copy at home. (Not sure where the ecopy is!) Give me a week or two and I'll look for you. Or if you don't hear back from me shoot me an email. I'm not so sure that would be a cap issue. Maybe a pot issue or voice coil but not a cap. Caps are just reserve battery power basically.

I am THINKING about it and hoping you get them sold.  Very pretty MCs of the same vintage as my originals from way back and they look to be in very nice condition.

I shall leave it to fate.  If you don't get a taker you call me or send me a PM/Email and I'll take them assuming they are no worse than they appear and in good working order.  I am in Seabrook.

I've several pair but these remain hard to resist.

I'm thinking along the same lines Dave. I've already sent him a note myself.

Didn't look that hard at anything but the MCs.  No, not going to call.  I shall resist.

Outstanding.  Now, I'll take a nap...

Thinking about moving my Elevens to my library this evening.  They are currently serving in the HT room and, as great as they sound, that just doesn't seem right.  The PAW doesn't care for the idea, but it's just a dolly run so I can move them back if she really doesn't like it.  I'll put the Mark Vs in the HT room with a sub and so the sound will still be very good, indeed.

I am going to hook my Super PAS4i preamp and ST-70 up to them.  The PAW is at a NASA conference in New Orleans for the week so I'll have time to listen for a while and see how it works out.

Since I don't change out equipment very often moving things around is about all the "change" I get.  Might as well have a bit of hobby fun.
