Whoever said that the rf-52 bass response require a sub, must like to hear everything shake around which these can do alone.  I have completely turned off my sub and there is still enough bass to be felt and heard without any stuggling.  More so i might not have the largest environment but these have no problem filling this area.  I also read on the forum that the f-3 sound better that the lower rf line.  NO! they don't I have yet to hear and ounce of distortion out of these, while as my friend who has the f-3 BB discount, and he turned them up, and the speakers just popped trying to reproduce the bass.  Their is also a huge tone different between the two lines, but this is all just my opinion.

 The RF has a finer sense of refinement than the Synergy lineup.  I personally can't stand them (not the subs mind you :P) , but many enjoy them; to each their own.
