Yes you are probably right as well as the rest of the internals.  Nothing wrong with the unit...........just making a shift in plan.

just chiming in with some info on the shipping claims

it is the shippers responsibility to file the claim, however the shipper can assign all rights to a claim to the recipient (via a statement to the shipping company and a copy of the shipping bill/receipt to the recipient)  then the recipient can do the rest of the leg work and receive any compensation from the shipping co. directly

of course this all depends on the mutual agreement of the seller and buyer

by the way beautiful amp !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I will be leaving Okeechobee on Sunday morning the 15th of June enroute to Indy for the Pilgrimage. First stop will be in "Hotlanta" to meet with JC and load everything that needs to be transported. Plan is to arrive at Colter's and unload for pickup by folks who are buying JC's items.

I'll also have Jim Hodges' center channel H-II cabinet, Colter's "stuff" (list is too long to even begin...), and if anyone along the route buys JC's items, I'll transport it. I can meet people along that route (within reason...)

Route is I-75 to Atlanta; I-24 and then I-65.

    You have email

"In listening to sound, I guess what I'm after is the closest thing that I can get to reality. Now, I know it's not going to be reality, cause the thing gotta go through wires and gotta go through filters and this and that. But what I really like is to get as close to the natural sound of the instruments as possible. That's why I like analog as opposed to digital. Because I don't give a *** what anybody tells you man, I know what you guys are going to tell me...'Oh yeah, but it's clean Ray!' Well it's clean but it don't got no balls!!!" -Ray Charles

Are you set in stone driving up I-24?  You could easily continue up I-75 to Cincy and then cut over I-74 to Indy.

The reason I ask is...  I AM planning on attending but will have gotten back from a long vacation just about 2 weeks prior and might have some issues at home (and might not).  I live about 15-18 miles off I-75.

If I can make it then all is fine, if I can't make it, I've got a pair of Cornwalls that belong to James that I was going to take up and hand to him....  if I can't make it, I'd sure appreciate the possiblity of you driving through Knoxville (as I'm sure James would as it would save him a trip from Chicago to Knoxville!)

This of course, presumes you'd have the room for two Cornwalls and don't mind the extra luggage.  I might add that I won't really know my reality until I return but I'll add that I DO plan on going if at all possible.

    Thoughts?

Professor Thump told me to take a Custom 3 and stick it in my ear. I did...and it sounded great!!!

Let me know what shakes out and I can probably alter the route if necessary. Truck is F-150; electronics inside; speakers wrapped, blanketed, bagged and strapped in back. Should be enough room.

And the circle of Klipsch continues ... James picked up Marshal's Oakies in Naperville IL (SW Chicago suburb) and met me in Lafayette IN for the trip to FL.  I almost asked SWMBO about an alternate route home but with 5 people in the family truckster (Dodge Grand Caravan) and luggage for 3 teenage girls (we had an extra) so packing in a set of Cornwalls probably wouldn't have been a good idea with SWMBO*4.

If the Cornwalls can make it to Indy I can store them in Kokomo and get them closer to James if James can't make it though I'm pretty sure he's planning on being there.  Either meet him in Lafayette or somewhere or visit my Brother in northern Indiana who's probably only about an hour from James who lives in NW Indiana.  And there's a huge mall near James the girls like to visit.  Just be sure to let me know and I'll be sure to drive the Grand Caravan.

I-74 to I-75 to get to Florida isn't too bad as we've taken that route when we've visited the mother-out-law (the mother of all SWMBO) on the way to Florida or even taken her with Hmm.  Probably a bit further but not too much though I think you'd miss driving through Chattanooga though could take that route home.
