Super AH! Njoe Tjoeb 4000
About 2 years ago, I bought this CD Player new from Upscale Audio. I got all the upgrades at the time which totals to $1376. The image shows what were the upgrades. The important upgrade is the AH! TjoUpsampler 24/192 Upsampling Board $349.00.
This is a great Tube CD Player. It has a remote and actually has a remote volume control to skip a preamp if you want. I works great like this. Or you can defeat the volume controls. The CD Plyer makes no noise and reacts quick to remote commands. This will only play standard CD's!
The first year I had it, it was mated with my Blueberry at the time. Blew away my McIntosh player at the time...which I eventually sold.
I have the proverbial Oppo 980 too. Outperforms that as well...easily.
Anyway...last year I purchased a High end McIntosh DAC unit. I'm too lazy to get out of my chair and put a CD in the player anymore and have built a music server.
The unit has had very little use in the last year.
This is for pickup only or you can buy it from me and Marshall will bring it to the Pilgrimage via car. He is stopping by my house on the way. I will not ship this item. I had to install the transport, remove standard DAC of the Marantz, and install the upsampler. No too fun really. I don't want to diassemble. Would rather keep everythig the way it is and put in a car. Safe this way.
Oh and I put some fancy feet on there and some fancy power cord upgrade. This doesn't include the SuperTubeClock that is offered now. Wasn't offered then and i don't know what it is.
If you have any question about the quality of this unit....look right here:

There are 134 reviews there and the product gets 4.85/5 rating. When I was shopping for CD Players...I couldn't find a more Cd player with such a foundation.
Of Note: This unit is Light! It is a Marantz simple unit on "sound steroids". All you money is going into the sound....not the chassis I can assure you.
$750 check. This is a super deal. Original tubes with about ~100 hours.
Please don't make this thread into a review.....
