And I'm curious how you could ask a question like that. It doesn't take a genius to conclude that even with a new power unit the speakers still aren't working, therefore the problem must be in the main speaker where the power is connected. I'm assuming there is a problem with the power connector in the main speaker but it could be some other malfunction in that speaker, perhaps on the circuit board- I am not an audio engineer or speaker designer, so my knowledge of the workings of these speakers is; if I plug them into the power unit and plug the speakers into the sound card, sound will be coming out of them if they are functioning- if there is no sound coming out of the speakers and the volume is turned up both at the speaker volume control and the computer itself and I have plugged the speakers into the proper output, then there is a problem with the speakers... no sound equals malfunctioning speakers. No sound coming out of the speakers after repeatedly checking the source and connections equals broken speakers which would probably cost more to analyze and fix than a new pair would. I bought the speakers because they had gotten good reviews. I've read the forums and user opinions which have stated that the speakers died after a ridiculously short period of time, usually after warranty had expired which is approximately a little over a year. I suppose you could say I had gotten fair use out of them since mine lasted nearly two. I have also experienced the problem with the sound intermittently being lost due to the mis-functioning of the volume control. Good sound, crappy speakers. Speakers dying so quickly, crappy company. Crappy company, I'm not buying anything from them anymore and will do my best to steer others away from crappy products.
