What are you joking??   It would sound AWSOME!!!!

You just would never have to really turn it up.

    Re: HELP WITH THX PACKAGE

Klipsch's THX Ultra system is designed for the THX Ultra specification, which is 3000 ft3 - at 8 feet ceiling heights your room is less than one third of that, so yes the THX system would be overkill, but still usable if you have the space for it. You could do inwall surrounds, skip the rear speakers, do single sub. This would give you a solid upgrade path for the future.

Hi colterphoto1..thanks a lot for ur reply man...so do u think if i skip the rear speakers and opt for inwaals or smaller bookshelves for the surround( i have a RB 15 wid me ) this system will sound good in my room?? so shall i go ahead with the KL 650 for the fronts or strip it down to KL 525 as well?? Am asking all these cause here in india i get a good deal on the THX as a package.....thanks in advance.

Hi Brac..thanks for those supporting words man..but am still a bit confused and not sure Sad

Yeah, those are gonna be a little too big for that room - you can trade with me though for my entire RF system... that seems fair :)

If you are sitting at back of room it will be difficult to get 7.1 sound. I'd put the KS 7800's on the side walls about 4' from the back wall, the three 650's up front and call it a day. The 525's could serve as stereo speakers in another room until space is gained for a larger HT room.

    Re: HELP WITH THX PACKAGE

The Big THX package is this...

    • KL-650-THX LCRs (3)
    • KL-525-THX LCRs (2)
    • KS-525-THX surrounds (2)
    • KW-120-THX subwoofers (2)
    • KA-1000-THX subwoofer amplifier

    Get this... for 5.1

    • KL-650-THX LCRs (3)  (650's are a tad better...yes get em!)
    • KS-525-THX surrounds (2)  (work great, I use them as well.)   (Or, if your at a loss for space, Colterphoto1 is right...  KS 7800's.)
    • KW-120-THX subwoofer  (1)  (You only need one in your room.)
    • KA-1000-THX subwoofer amplifier (It's matched specifically for this sub as well.)

It will be seamless upfront. The sides are outstanding, and one sub amp/ sub in your room will work great!  Place the side surrounds to the side of your main listening position. The tweeters and woofers on the sides are meant to go forward and back to fill the side surround info and envelop you.  Some will bounce off your back wall as well. (And it's a good thing relax...)

THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT!!!!  Make sure you buy a ULTRA 2 Pre Mmp or Receiver.  This will gurantee a great fit with this speaker system!

HT: 2008 My Dream La Scala HT System for downstairs is finally done. 7 Split La Scala's, (Timbre DOES matter!) Two Klipsch THX KSW 120 subs, with the KA 1000 Amp, with the Velodyne SMS-1, Bass management system, with 2 THX series KS-525's as side surrounds. WOW! Dedicated 17' x 30' room, 106" Daylite screen, with the Infocus 7210 DLP Projector. Sunfire Theater Grand IV, Sunfire Signature series 200 x 7 amp. OK, It IS Klipsch Nirvana, for me. The ticket booth is open, and the popcorn machine works too! Dim the lights, on with the show!!
