    Hi,

Can we use pro sound speaker cable for home audio speaker cable?

Have anyone use OCC speaker cable from http://www.monarchyaudio.com/ ?

    Thanks

You could but why spend more than you have to on cables? Their prices don't seem that great.

If you want good quality check with Blue Jean Cables and also Monoprice.

Pro sound speaker cable is usually SJ #12 ga., plenty good enough for runs up to 50 ft. Normally the pre-made pro cables have Speakons or 1/4 in. phone plugs as connectors. For a lower cost option, Parts Express cat #100-024 gets you 50ft of 12 ga. for about $30, cut it to length, and put the appropriate connectors for your equipment.

I use wire, that's right. Lowes 16 ga copper twisted pair. Simple stuff. About $40 for 250 feet of it.

12 and 14 ga from PE for my pro gear.

Bananas or Speakons on everything (hey, I move stuff around a lot)

I might try some of the fancy stuff on the Khorns one day. Hey- somebody bring a couple lengths to the Pilgrimage and lets see if we can tell the difference!

Send me and addres where to ship and how long does it need to be....I have some Monster Z-1 cable that is as good as any to compare to lamp cable.  The lenth should be the same as the lamp cord being compared to.  The longer the better for the compare.  Might as well include what type of connectors on each end.
