One of my iFi speakers doesn't work!

    Hi,

I'm having trouble with my right speaker on my iFi.  It just stopped working one day.  Here's what I did so far to troubleshoot, but I'd love your help:

    1. Turned on and off the system.  Result: no changes.

    2. Switched the cables from the left speaker and right speaker.  Result: no sound out of the right speaker.

    3.  Checked for loose connections, and there are none.

    4. Switched the left speaker and right speaker at the base/subwoofer.  Result: the sound starts working on the right speaker, but not the left.

There is also a hissing sound coming from the non-functioning speaker, depending on which wire I switch to/from on the subwoofer (#4).  Are there any other steps I can take before calling customer service?

     Thanks!

Wow, the same thing just happened to me ... I'm here to ask the same question. I tried all your troubleshooting items, and there's one more thing I tried: Only one channel works regardless of whether I'm playing an ipod through the dock, or if I'm using my computer's line out as the source. Clearly the issue is the subwoofer module. Is there a fuse inside that may have blown? What are my options at this point? I'm handy with fixing things, and it's out of warranty, but I'll wait to touch it until I get a response. Thanks!

Yes,that's the same with me too: it doesn't matter what source I use, only one channel works for me too.

Does anyone have any ideas for a fix?

    Thanks!
