Last night I had my center speaker make some crackling noises while I wasn't using the computer.  Made the sounds for maybe a few seconds at the most.  Both the comp and audio were on but idle.  An hour or so later I started my music and no sound would come out.  I've checked everything on the comp (both audio controls and hardware) and they are fine, and there's no damage on the subwoofer at all. The control box works just fine also, but I can only get sound out the headset outlet.  Headset sounds just like normal, just nothing from the speakers.  My guess is something went bad in the subwoofer, or maybe a short, but I don't if there are any fuses that can be checked or anything that I can do at home without doing more damage.  Any ideas?

 Yea I tried that earlier and it didn't do anything.  Tried again just to see if I'd be lucky, but no.  I think I'll just have to get a new subwoofer, but I really don't want to spend the money.  I wish there was something I could fix myself but I don't want to do more damage just by taking it apart.
