Due to the size, it is also a good idea to post them on your local "Craigslist", locals who don't need shipping.  Good luck on the sale!

Do you listen to music at home?  These would also make very nice home speakers.

Thank you for the suggestion. I'm planning on using as many "local" options that I can. Now that I have an idea of asking price, I am going to put them up for sale.

I love music, and I do listen to it a lot. It would be kind of nice to keep the speakers, since they sound so great; but, it's just not an option.

    Thanks for the help!

I did kind of hope that I would get an offer. I was told by Klipsch support that this is the serial number... 13R667.

These are 400 dollar LaScala's if Iever saw a pair.  Which I have, since I bought 3 in better condition for 450 - 500 and know of numerous transactions in the 400 - 450 range.  Those pictures suggest that you are trying to hide something.  I don't want to set flase expectation.  There have been better LaScala's that have went unsold at 600.  I have given away cabs in better condition than those photos are revealing.

     You need better pic's.

    DIY Belle , LSI , Heresy's, Marshall 9200, 9100, el20/20, Dyna Mk VI's, SF FL2, EAD 7000 III, , Onkyo NAS, Pioneer M-25, Peavey 120/120, 60/60.

I know the pictures I took aren't great, but I am not trying to hide anything, and your implication that I am is insulting.  I don't know whether or not you've read  my other posts, but I have apologized for both my lack of knowledge in how to post photos; and for my lack of knowledge about these speakers. My reasons for posting the pictures was because Klipsch support said that the people in here are nice and would help me learn about the speakers and possibly determine what they are worth.

I'm glad you were able to purchase better looking speakers for less money. I hope that I can fix these up so that I don't have to sell them for such a low price. I need to try to recover some of the business losses I've incurred since my husband died.

    RP2115,

I think that the market has been playing a lot into the price of speakers lately and it's unfortunate you are trying to sale at this time.  It might help if you are able to get some better pictures, looks like those were take when a cell phone with the pictures being really fuzzy.  You might want to get some pictures of the tags on each speaker and of any nicks or blemishes.  If the speakers don't have the tags anymore the serial numbers can still be found on the back.

Good luck with the sale and sorry for your loss.

hello sorry to hear about your loss.

your lascalas are indeed wonderful speakers but condition appears to have suffered over the years (as with all items in life) i fear you may find it will cost as much as you may gain if you attempt to refurbish the speakers to get top money (1500.00) for a pair of lascalas they have to be basically pristine, and in yor pairs condition (according to the pics) that would require considerable work which translatess to considerable monies. as is your speakers appear to be worth between 500.00 and 600.00 (400 to 450.00 is a little low as the components inside would fetch more than that) wish you were closer i would love to see them in person

    good luck with the sale

RP, I appologize for my comment.  I did not read your entire thread, only where you stated "I thought after I showed that I'm a "blonde", people would understand..lol.".  When you said you are a "blonde" and you laughed after that statement, I thought you were just joking about being a blonde.  I then assumed that you were a male but posted a photo of a female as your avatar since many of us do not use actual photos of ourselves as our avatars.  I totally misunderstood and also did not read your original post stating you were female and had lost your husband.  I am truly sorry for your loss and for my poor judgement.  I honestly had no intent to hurt anyone's feelings.  We are just used to joking around quite a bit in the forums.  I hope you will accept my appologies.
