    Scott 299C==NOS Valves Restoration

    I had Craig at NOS Valves do a complete restore on this unit a couple of years ago including adding bias taps. Since then, I have probably used it about ten hours. I hate to see it sitting on the shelf as it is a very fine unit. I have Khorns and use a pair of otl amps which I am pleased with. I will try and post some images later. It is an extremely nice unit and includes the wood cabinet. I need $700 for it which is a little less than I have in it. Please let me know if you have any interest. Thanks!

    The 7591 output tubes and the rectifier are marked Scott. The two 6GH8's are NOS Sylvania and the four 12ax7's are Telefunken.

    Re: Scott 299C==NOS Valves Restoration

    Overall, this is an extremely nice unit. I can probably find the itemized receipt for the work that was performed along with the bias instructions. There are a couple of very slight nicks on the top edge of the faceplate, Sorry, my camera will not pick these up. The power transformer has some scratches on the top and all the  transformers are a little dusty around and between the laminations.  I would like to test it for a day or so prior to shipment just to be sure all is still a-ok. I may be interested in a trade especially if you happen to have a monobloc to mate with one of my orphans--- a Pilot AA-901 or an Altec A340A. Thanks for looking. Please let me know if you have any questions.

    Bill, As I recall, yes, with all the work that was done. Is it possible I am mistaken? I will try and locate it.
