GH, What did you think of the sound of the 2426? I think it is similar (in construction) to the 2425 (titanium diaphragm). The 902 is a very good driver for a two-way set-up, excellent quality high-end.

The networks are simple first-orders crossed at 500 and 6kHz. I previously had just a high-pass on the mid driver, letting it roll off naturally. Since I don't have the means to measure response, I had to guess at the roll-off (~10K seems to be the concensus). After tweaking the tweeter x-over point a bit, things sounded nice. I was curious how the tweeter would sound if brought in a bit lower though, so am now running a band pass on the mid, moved the x-over point to 6k. I think I need to listen a bit more (and finish the other network!) before evaluating, but it sounds more balanced.

I have a pair of JBL 2420's coming, so will be comparing them to the 2470's. I'll be selling one or the other (may end up being a coin toss to determine which I like better), so if you're interested, let me know.

I was looking at your testing for the 2426 and that is interesting. I've found the 902 to be really good out to almost 20khz but it drops around 850-500. I do love the 511b/902 sound. I'd love to try the 511B/902 with other combos as well. Not sure how I missed this thread. Very cool. Any news on that tractrix tweeter?

If you like the 511/902 combo, you should hear it with a trachorn Yes

Sorry, it took so long to get back to you, The 2426 sounds excellent, however needs to be attenuated, it is much hotter than the K-55 I am used to.

Thanks for the network info, I have tried simple network, and find when properly setup work fine.

    Thanks, Dave

Here are some pics of the Fastrac Lascala with the round to square throat adaptersfor JBL. I got tired of waiting for the machine shop to get these done, so built the Jigs to do them myself.

These adapters are optional and and additional $35 per pair, not necessary for use with the K-55.

The machined aluminum adapters have arrived. These are drilled for JBL 3bolt and Altec 2 bolt drivers. $100 per pair plus shipping.

Re: Fastrac Lascala Midrange horns $325

Update, I just finished 3 pairs of Fastrac Lascala horns, 1 pair has conventional matt black finish, the other 2 pairs are finished in Black glossy hammered finish. $325 per pair.

I still have a few pairs of K-55 adapters that I will include for no additional charge.

3 of the 5 original pairs of aluminum JBL and Altec adapters are spoken for, I have 2 pairs left, and 5 more sets on order.  $100 per pair plus $13 for priority mail shipping to CONUS.

    Fastrac Lascala

For a while now, I have been shipping horns all over the U.S. for about $25, today I shipped a set and cost $46.

I still have a few sets of K-55 adapters left, and 2 sets of aluminum adapters.

    Fastrac Lascala

Found a solution to the shipping hike, if I package the horns individually instead of in pairs there won't be any additional dimentional charges.

Shipping will be around $30 for a pair of horns.
