    Re: RIP Michael Jackson

I, too, was never a big fan, nor have I ever bought any of his albums. But I've always appreciated his raw musical talents, dedication to his craft, and expert showmanship he extruded for his beloved fans the world over! I think we've all laughed at his quirky nature from time to time...despite his sometimes eccentric conduct, none of us can ever take away the fact that in the pop genre he was a musical genius, pure and simple!

You will be missed, Michael, but never forgotten.

A man died, can we be nice about it?

yeah, don't let this thread get out of control. i wasn't a fan at all; but, don't rejoice in his death nor will I make light of it. Whether we liked his music or his life--he has a bunch of family members grieving today, and that isn't a funny thing.

Sad week with McMahon, then the 'Angel' and now the 'king of pop'

Wasn't ahuge fan, but did like some of his songs.

Michael, we can have sorrow and empathy for his family and extended family. As far as respect - yea, I respect his music - but for the man, he will be meeting his maker, and he better be prepared. Money does not provide a get out of jail card up there.

Two ways and three ways are good for you!

That is presupposing that he hadn't made peace with God before his death. The physical condition of his heart we can know; but, the spiritual condition of his heart was only known by he & God.

Endorsed by a saint.  Can't beat that!

As for Michael, we'll all be there in our turn.  Hopefully not for quite a while...

unopened copies of original Thriller LP are fetching $500 to $800 right this hour. The amount of MJ memorabilia is staggering, this could be interesting to watch.

    Amazing talent.

My personal faves were pre Thriller, though that was great.

Shake Your Body (Down to the Ground) and Blame it on the Boogie. I was wearing out those two DJing for HS dances.

It's been sad, strange and scary to see him in a downward spiral the last couple of decades. Haven't known what to make of what has been going on with him.

Interesting paradox indeed. When he was alive, I really gave him flack about being a pervert so to speak. Now, as I watch news reports about his deaths, I seem to miss him. Or, at least his talent. Interesting indeed.

Michael Jackson was a master at his craft, whether we liked  his style or not.  Thriller was one of the most, if not the most popular album of all time.

Most of you that know me at all are  aware that I have issues with his personal lifestyle.  That being said, we cannot know a person's heart. I pray the demons that tormented Michael Jackson during his life on earth, will not follow him in death.

The man was an amazing tallent. Loved thriller back in high school. Didn't care for what he became, nor the scandals. Regardless of his personall issues, I find it very sad.
