The black rubber parts of the speaker have deteriorated, and the speaker buzzes even at low volumes.  I opened up the subwoofer, but it seems the speaker is actually glued in place.  Has anyone tried to remove and then replace the subwoofer speaker?   Any other recommendations?

Not sure about the 2.1's but my old 4.1 v2 subwoofers foam surround deteriorated. I'm considering trying this:

for a temporary fix..then order a re-edge kit and do it myself.
