twistedcrankcammer:You corrected another, were you correct?
As I belive that I am the aforementioned "Another", I'll be brave and stick my head back into this converation:
I agree with both of you! Selling prices as of late are depressed; some people who are selling RF-7's and RC-7's have been hit by the economic downturn, and need the money are are selling cheap (I think we can all agree
that nobody would sell their beloved RF-7's or RC-7's unless something came up!) Others that are selling but aren't 'desperate' are still facing a depressed market where there are some deals to be had out there (if you look as hard as some of us on this forum do), and that's what sellers are currently up against.
What is a fair price? I agree, as an owner, the speakers are worth more than they are commanding right now. Would I sell the three for what I paid for the three of them ($850). Of course not. They are worth $1500 to me. But now is not the best time to sell, but if you need a quick grand, you might need to.
So I suggest we agree the above sounds about right, and perhaps move on to another topic, of say, like why would ANYBODY believe that a $795 AC power cord could possibly "offer clarity, depth, increased soundstage, resolution,
lowest background noise, and more."
(At the very most, a power cord shouldn't induce hum into your other cables, but that's about it! Oh, and it could LOOK pretty if anybody can see your power cords.)
How's that for opening up a can of worms and changing the topic! (Be kind, boys!)
