     Your all wrong.

You need the latest magazine full of graphs, and charts, and a big blind study test, and of course several ads in the magazine about it, too, complete with a price tag about that of a good luxury car!

Are you putting any lotion on that Red Spot of yours?  It looks like it's starting to swell.

    Nice animated image, BTW.

    Re: best of the worst

I guess my questions should have been 1- which has less distortion and 2- although the denon has more power than the hk by the #s does it "realy" have more. Also the hk in stereo jumps from 45-55 wpc.

"You people worry too much about superficial things."

"Listening is more important than measuring."

"Absolute THD is not very important to me, (because) it is usually below what most references would consider audible."

"I would prefer a transformer to an IC chip. I once designed out (removed from the design) the best IC chip that I could find.... when it failed critical listening tests."

John Curl is a very good designer, he suggests you listen to the amplifiers.

Golden Ear Audiophile hit with a brick "Oww, that
    hurts! I'm bleeding!"

Tin Ear Meter Reader hit with a brick "You can't prove
I was hit with a brick! We need to do a double blind
    ABX test!"

Hook them both up and enjoy what each one has to offer.  I have 5 different receivers and they all have their strong and weak points but I enjoy each one of them.

    Re: best of the worst

Before I bought my cornwalls I had my rc-35 checked out and it had a blown tweeter.Had it replaced and I asked (Jamison audio in Toledo) how it could happen. They said it was my receiver.

    Re: best of the worst

I just don't want to blow out my cornwalls. I've been using the HK cuz the THD was just under the denon. In the back of my small mind I've thought maby the tweeter was defective from the start.

I have run my stuff (RF 7's) with everything from a small Sansui G5500 to an old Integra pushing 180wpc and never had anything let go.
