These are spectacular La Scalas -- just what we have here. Evidently quite good shape, too. They are sculptural, and surprisingly room-friendly, subjectively based, of course. My wife said OMG when I brought them home, but she's used to it, and honestly likes them, and thinks they sound great. Near field listening is fantastic -- like giant headphones but with better imaging. I've used them to excellent results with a hefty, 1.5 watt OTL, and can play at extreme levels without breaking a sweat with our much bigger amps -- single ended 300Bs.
