    WTB: K-48-KP 121528 15" or Recone Kit for the KP-3002

    Howdy,

    I'm looking for a driver or the re-cone kit(s) for the K-48-KP

    I assume they are 4 ohm.

    If there is a complete (not the online info) spec sheet on the KP-3002, please send it over.

    Thanks

    OB Jim

    This was from another thread. My 3002's are 500 watts not 400 though http://forums.klipsch.com/forums/storage/3/1259063/KP-302.pdf

    Dear Sir;

         To recone that K-48-K it is about $90.00, we recone all klipsch drivers and we have the kits in stock. E-mail me at jophise@comcast.net . and I will give you shipping info. You can recieve them back within 2 weeks. I am in Massachusetts and I am a Klipsch pro dealer and use all klipsch speakers in my sound co. Northeast Sound.

    Thank You  JoeyB KP 600

    I suggest you call Brian at OCS, he normally charges about $65 plus freight to do one of those.

     I figured I'd better give an update on my search for a kit.

    Legacy Sound Service

    Seems to work fine.

    OCS charges less to do the whole job.

    Unless you have experience and all the adhesives, send it to OCS.

    If you do have experience and the adhesives, call OCS and find out how much a kit costs.

     I use to work for many years for a company called DWD loudspeakers in the 70's.  Not much has changed in the way a loudspeaker is reconed so I had always done it myself. It's a lot cheaper and no down time for the cab.

    So for 42.86 it's not a bad deal for me.
