4 Klipsch Heresy's For Sale and Need Advice On Replacement HT System

    Hey everyone,

I have 2 pairs of Heresy's for sale.  One pair is in great condition and the Serial Numbers are 539507 & 539508 and Black.  The other pair are in good condition and I repainted them to black and the serial numbers are 32P412 & 32P413.  Both pairs are in perfect working condition and they sound great!  I will be taking offers through emails to cwells2@nd.edu for both pairs separetely or all together.  I am willing to ship them and I ask that the buyer pay the shipping that I am charged.  I love these speakers, but I am moving into a smaller living situation and these are too large to incorporate into my HT System.  I would prefer to sell these Heresy's to other Klipsch fanatics, but if unable to move them, I will be placing these on Ebay.  Let me know.

Also, if anyone can help me out choosing a 5.1 system to replace these great speakers I would appreciate it.  I currently have a HSU VTF 2 MK III 12" Subwoofer that I plan on using in my new system and I have looked at the new Klipsch speakers and at Paradigm Monitor 7's and 9's.  I would like to keep the budget around $1,500 if possible, but I will consider all options.  My receiver is a 7.1 Yamaha that puts out 115 watts x 7  Thanks in advance.

I live in Wisconsin about one hour from Madison and I go to school in South Bend, Indiana.  I am also in the Chicago area a lot so I can meet anyone in any of these places.  I have pictures that I can email upon request.  Just email me at cwells2@nd.edu for pix and/or an offer.  I am not sure what to sell them for or what the going price is per pair so I will take offers.  Thanks.

Chris, the 3rd digit in the first set is not a 9, guessing it is the letter S which would make them 1978. the other set with a P is from 1976. you need pictures to get a good sale. good luck

Thanks for the correction.  I must have misinterpreted the number/letter.  Here are the links to photobucket for 8 pix of these four speakers.  I have been watching ebay and average pair have been going for $350/pair.  I'm hoping to get around that for the average pair I have and $400 for the good pair.  Let me know if any of you are interested.

Also, I am switching because I do not have the room for these "beasts" anymore.  I need something a little smaller to fit into my new room space.  Any recommendations for systems anyone?  5.1?  I do have the sub and receiver.  Thanks.

This distributor is located in Las Vegas:

They have a bunch of other products.  If you can fit small towers, they have RF packages too.  Just call them up, tell them that you don't need the sub, and make an offer.  They are also on ebay.

There are some other buys on this forum too.  If you need small speakers, just buy something from Klipsch that starts with "RF" and "RC" and you will be happy.

If I like to listen to rock, acoustic, occasional rap about 30% of the time and movies 70% of the time.  So my question is, what specific speakers should I go with, a Klipsch system with RF-35's, RC-35, and fill rears later or buy a Bose Lifestyle 38 Version III for a compact system, or go with Paradigm Monitor 9's and CC-390 center channel?  What are the positives and negatives of each or what other options should I be looking at?  I do have a HSU VTF 2 MK III and a Yamaha HTR - 6090 receiver.  Thanks in advance.

The Klipsch RF 35's RC-35 rear surrounds and matching sub hits your target price.  You should be able to delete the sub and save some money.

Your Yamaha should work just fine, especially if you liked it with the Heresys.  I'm not familiar with your subwoofer, but if you like it, keep it.  The PA 12 that comes with the package looks like it is not that great.

I'd go for this system and delete the subwoofer if you like (If they will discount it):

I don't know anything about Paradigm speakers.  For non-Klipsch speakers I recommend B&W but they are very expensive (you will have to spend quite a bit more to do better than the Klipsch).

I think that you are joking about the Bose system.  If you are actually considering it, the brand is a joke in the entire audio world.  Way overpriced and cheaply made.  Just forget about it.  If you need small satellite speakers to fit in your room, just use this with your receiver and sub (it will outperform the Bose sytsem at 1/10th of the price):

Sitck with the Heresy's and add a sub woofer and center channel. I get good performance out of my RF-52's/RC-52/RW-10D, although truthfully, the HII's kick the boo-boo out of the RF-52's My receiver is a Yamaha RX-V661, I would go with the RW-10D and maybe an RC-64 Center.

I think you and I have the same receiver...

     RF means Reference Floorstanding, not the best if space is a constraing.  RB. Reference Bookshelf is more like it for spatial constraints;

Hello, if you are interested I have a set of home theater speakers available.  They are Energy Connesoir C-1's, C-3's and CC-1 center channel, they are stand mount speakers except for the center channel, send me an E-Mail @ pmins2@bellsouth.net if you are interested, I will make you a nice deal on these as I no longer use them, actually I no longer have a home theater system.
