Women's music? As opposed to...men's music????? Yup, gotta love those odes to prostate health... And what if it is someone like Barry Manilow who is a ...nevermind, that IS woman's music. OK, so how about someone like Joe Cocker, a man who is liked by lots of women...is he man's music by virtue that is IS a man, or is he woman's music by virtue that his primary audience is women?! This is  sooooo confusing...

One category to the exclusion of all others doesn't quite do it.

But the one category I try to listen to that is not included is: "good". 

In the spirit of Beavis and Butthead, how about "music that doesn't suck? Huh huh huh huh.

As soon as you "specify" a  category you imply that all other  categories at that same level of categorization are not included. For example, if you mention "Tango" as a category you imply that "Mambo"  and the other Ten Thousand specific  types of dance music are not included in your list. If you list Irish Music as a category, then it is insulting to list the music of other specific countries as only "World Music".  So the very premise of your list is faulty because you have mixed together different levels of categorization.  That is why I said there is only one category "World Music", other categories would be music from Mars, Neptune, and Uranus etc. that is assuming you meant World=Earth in this case.  Your list, of course, is no more a mess than most music stores.

I could have made an accurate reply if you'd just said "classical."  Did you mean "classical" when you said orchestra music?  The list was too subdivided for me to give a good answer.

I could use a little help picking my favorite from the list. I listen to piano solos, like Liz Story, the most.

Interesting question.... While I really, really like my old rock and roll..., I actually have found that I'm listening to the "classical masters" the most (about 3-4 hours a day, either by CD at home, or via NPR, particularly while at work). Something about classical music that soothes the soul.

What no Euro Trash on that list !     Just kidding I already voted, it's very hard to pick just one !

I picked Barbershop music cuz the barbershop I go to (Floyd's) lets clients pick the playlist, and there is always a huge variety of music, and I like most of it.

You left out bagpipe music.

 I go with this guy...Dropkick Murphys, Iggy and The Stooges, Iron Cross, Patti Smith, AC/DC...anything that gets the hairs on the back of my neck standing up.

"Bagpipe" and "music" are two words that should never be used in the same sentence.
