moment out of them. Yes, before someone wonders outloud, they had been redone by DeWick prior to my purchase (I verified that with him), so they were up to spec. They were about as pristine...well, no...acutally they were probably the MOST pristine pair I've ever seen... they were very pretty.

To tell the truth, about the only amps I've ever had an "OMG" moment with, was the SE-OTL's and frankly, that makes me wonder if I might like the sound a bit more after taking the transformer out of the equation??. I don't want to overblow the OTL's, it still wasn't a significant OMG moment, just that they did seem to sound more natural & 'real' than the other amps. Sadly, they only carried 4 watts and when running full signal, that wasn't enough for me. Now that I'm biamping it's probable that 4 wpc (on the 402) would take care of 90% of my listening.

I have gone out of my way to try out in my place, various types of amps that some people simply rave over. Differences? yea, I guess there was some. Were the differences worth the multiple thousands of dollars to me? Nope.

The item that was THE most significant "OMG" moment was swapping out the speakers and yes, that part was worth the investment (although I use the word 'investment' loosely)

Once I'm back from my trip, I'm anticipating buying some OTL's again and giving them a whirl. I sold my MC-2102 and was going to use those proceeds to buy Kudrets pCats but unfortunately, I've got some 'deals' that are slow in closing so that cash ended up going elsewhere.
