the Marantz does have my attention if the bidding does not get too crazy.Looks like it was sold and somebody failed to pay.

what is the deal with the marantz?? I have never seen /heard one. looks in line with fair value- audiogon

Is this more desirable or better sounding than the VRDs?

the sum total of my knowledge is what i have heard from others on this board. no expert - still learning

Hey Mark, Glad you're enjoying it. I've only been able to listen for about 4 hours or so, since I've seen you last. Most of my time is being spent outdoors with the new pup, so I had a deck built in back and just hooked up some Klipsch AW-650's out back. Stop by sometime if you're in the neighborhood. Cheers!

I can highly recommend ANYTHING made by Craig. His VRDs are outstanding! In addition, anything he services or modifies, gets transformed into stellar pieces of audio equipment.

Sold the stereo VRD due to limited listening time, but they'll have to pry the mono's from my cold dead hands....And I would love to purchase a Stereo VRD again someday. Bump.

Just dont have 3 grand to drop right now for new ones. I fonud a set for 1500 and told a forum buddy about them several months ago. He bought them and loves them. 1500- 1800 is the going rate for nice used examples. I have a nice Mac 2105 to use until I find them so I have time to wait. Not in a hurry - just want to keep my name in the hat. Beautiful pics

listening to some loud stuff on k horns on occasion so something 30 watts + is kinda where i am going- but open to other offers.

Unlikely unless someone is really in need of cash in the economic crunch.
