I will be posting mostly rock records from 1967-1987. I am including photographs and am describing them the best I can.
Shipping is actual shipping cost so the more you buy the more you can leverage the shipping. Media mail is pretty affordable in the US for a box of records. 1 album is $2.50 where a box of albums weighing 20 pounds (lbs) is $8.59. A box of 5 lbs is $3.50. Records weigh about 8 to 12 ounces. One records shipping overseas is around $12-15 1st class international.
Grading:
I will describe any writing, tears, cut-outs, and other notable flaws.
I use GOLDMINE grading as follows:
NM - Near Mint = I use the sparingly since the lp should look like it just came out of the shrink wrap.
EX - Excellent = Just minor signs of wear. Goldmine says EX is another name for VG+ so I use EX for records on the high side of VG+
VG+ - Very Good + = I try to follow Goldmine VG+ defenition. It has just minor signs of wear, no scratches you can feel, covers with "cut-out's" are VG+, surface noise is not distacting.
VG - Very Good = A typical used record. It plays without skips from scratches or warps. Surface noise does not over power the music.
G - Good = plays without skips or scratches but lot's of surface noise. This is common with 50's lps that have been played and stored without jackets.
