I think your coupon is a bit expired. That's kinda impressive to give a $1.00 coupon back in 67'

Let us know how it sounds.

Brac as you might expect anything that RVG does is more than likely going to be good at least.

That's really cool. I don't think I ever saw one sealed. Well, how does it sound?

Hey Sean as you might imagine it sounds excellent, it's a rare thing to find a sealed reel tape these days. How is that TT of yours sounding?

Incredibly cool! I heard original tapes when I was at Travis'. I was flabbergasted by the quality. It takes a hell of a TT to get close to that! Yes

Timmikid you are correct, a good tape at 7 1/2 ips sounds awesome and one at 15 ips is better than most vinyl. I have some nice LP's and some tapes that just get up and walk away from them.

Re: The Opening of a Treasure

Good for you Jay! I've got a few sealed reels but can't bring myself to crack 'em open. I'm pretty fresh to the pre-recorded tape world but I'm enjoying what I hear so far. I get a bit more tape noise and the signal isn't as pristine as 15ips but detail is still great and the frequency range is there - nice bottom end. The fun part is pulling a 40-odd year old tape out of the box and there's no ticks or pops as I would expect with vinyl. I was listening to Fats Domino last night - nice recording, very straight-forward. I also listened to Dave Brubeck - 'Jackpot - Live in Vegas' and Basie/Ellington - 'Together Again... 'Its also great to switch on the deck's 'auto-reverse' feature and let the tape play on and repeat while I'm off doing something... can't do that with a record (well, not with my TT at least).

I think I would love to hear it. The TT is sounding nice. After about 25 sides played the midrange dialed in and sounds great. Now I need some really good LPs.
