Wanted To Swap: Various 6L6's for a Jan 6L6

Specificaly a Jan Sylvania 6L6WGB with brown base that tests very high.

I have some GE's RCA, and the old 40's style 6L6's that all test good (a couple appear to be Nos or dern near it). Also have a few other odds and ends tubes I might consider trading.

Trying to build a 6L6 amp on the cheap as a winter project using mostly stuff on hand. I have 3 of these Jan's that test excellent. I want to use them but I need another.

So root around your tube stashes and help me out.

No Jan's.... but would you consider parting with four of either the GE's or the "old" 40's in either a quad or two pairs? If so, for a strange, but incredibly benevolent and fair price?Big Smile

Sorry my good man, I would but these are all odd lot tubes, there's about 7 of them and no two are exactly the same.

I figured someone might need a spare or need one or two to complete a quad or something. I have two 40's style 6L6Ga but they are both slightly different. I also have several 6V6's which I haven't tested yet.

Thanks Pete, appreciate you doing that.  Now if when checking your stash, should you run across a roach from circa 1968, from Acapulco, keep me in mind.Big Smile

That's great Pete! Thanks a bunch for looking into it for me.

Oh, while your checking, see if you have any 6SL7's. I've got bunches of 6SN7's, and I'll be using some of them in this design, but no 6SL7's. The schematic I'm pretty sure I'll be using calls for two of them. Needless to say I have some things to trade that you might need.
