    Why Do Albums Sound Bad?

Maybe because there wasn't much there to start with? This is a live mic feed from a well known performer.

That is the worst thing I have heard in a while. Ouch.

It is all in the studio with retakes and digital reconbobulating for radio and videos. Obviously not possible to do live. The top 40 sucks! This is what we get with major labels deciding what is "hot". I call shenanigans on the major record labels. Just waiting for them to fall on their collective a$$e$.

That was quite a track.  She truely has no talent.  I remember an episode of the Simpsons where they had Crust The Clown doing "Croon Along With Crusty" as he sung.

I have a recording of Herbie Hancock playing jazz with Christina Acqulara (or however its spelled) on vocals.  She can sing.  Her voice is amazing.  When she is washed up as a teen pop star she should go seriosuly into Jazz.

I agree about Aguilera's voice it's to bad her style of music is not something I like.  She is 28 now so maybe she will expand her style.

As far as the Video that was probably what she actually sounds like before the sound eng in the audience TWEAKED her sound just a bit.

The only tweak the sound eng should be doing is turning down the volume!

Just listened to the Herbie Hancock / Chritina song she does have a very good voice.  Listen to Brit then go to this Youtube of Herbie/Christina and see which one you like better.

I went and checked this out.  Holy crap, that was aweful!  Comes off sounding like a strangled cat.  How is it that she becomes such a "superstar" when it seems she can't even hit a single note.  I saw some of the comments posted with the video, especially the ones claiming about how it is difficult to "sing" while doing all that dancing and what not.  Seems that Madonna has been doing it for years and she is way better.

After seeing that trainwreck, then you get something like this:

That is one incredible performance by the band Riverside.  Talk about a complete dichotomy here.  And yes, I've seen these guys perform personally, and they are indeed that good in a live performance!

Gee, and you wonder why I don't listen to top-40 mainstream music anymore.  When you got bands like this Riverside out there that are so much better in my opinion than the crap that is shovelled out on the FM airways these days.
