    LSI's are really nice speakers! 

    HT: 2008 My Dream La Scala HT System for downstairs is finally 99% done. 7 Split La Scala's, (Timbre up front DOES matter!) Two Klipsch THX KW 120 subs, with the KA 1000 Amp, with the Velodyne SMS-1, Bass management system, with 2 THX series KS-525's as side surrounds. WOW! Dedicated 17' x 30' room, 106" Daylite screen, with the Infocus 7210 DLP Projector. Sunfire Theater Grand IV, Sunfire Signature series 200 x 7 amp. SONY 550 BluRay DVD player. It's Klipsch Nirvana, for me. The ticket booth is open, and the popcorn machine works, So dim the lights, on with the show!!
    **NEW** TSCM bass bins with pro split La Scala tops, just for outdoor fun!

    Here's a shot from today of the workshop with all 6 of the beauties lined up...

     Prof- in the Updates Forum I asked about stripping the paint of the aluminum. Mike Hurd suggested Scotchbrite, rags and lacquer thinnner- and lots of fresh air. Worked like a champ. See that thread for photos of before and after.

     Here are 2 without trim too. Nice!  Mine in the HT look like this.  Some with a rectangle top, some with a v shaped top!

    Before you do, put a search out on "JubeScala" or perhaps "Vtrac" and read up.  This of course, presumes you'd like to improve the sound of the LaScalas and not simply take them back to stock.

     Very beautiful photos and you do excellent repair work.  Have you ever thought of becoming a Klpsch Classic Speaker Repair Man ?

    You can buy brand new K401 horns direct from Klipsch for about $50 each. What a deal!
