The sub in my Ultra 5.1 system appears to have bit the dust. I happen to have two ProMedia Ultra 5.1 systems, and I temporarily swapped in the sub from my second system, and everything worked fine -- so it's definitely the sub/amp. I opened up the back of the sub, removed the circuit board, found the fuse and took it in to Radio Shack -- they confirmed that the fuse was still functioning properly (it physically looked okay, and they used a testing meter on it.) Are there any other user-serviceable parts that I can attempt to repair myself? (little-to-no electronics experience). Klipsch appears to sell replacement satellites, but no replacement subs for this speaker set. What are my options? I've contact Eliot Electronics (found on this forum) for a possible repair. well im in the same situation as you are sinclair. I was thinking of calling klipsch and seeing if they sell amps for these subs ? if not the only other shot is find someone piecing the system out on ebay or craigslist. Id like to know if u stir up any more ideas sinclair..keep me posted pls
