    OT: Nikon Coolscan 5000 problem

    Anyone familar with the 5000?

I've been batch scanning slides with the 210 (?) adapter.

It's been working fine other than sticking on a bent slide every now & then.

All the sudden it's stopped and will NOT scan.  It will load, unload buzz, hum, whirl but it will not scan.  I'm getting an error message "There was an error in performing a post processing" and that's it.

I went to the tab and unchecked some things that were post processing, hoping the ICE (or what ever it's called) was the issue.  I also updated the program from version 4.0 to 4.02 in case there was a glitch in the software.

Windows XP, USB connection and I'm currently dumbfounded.  I've posted same question on a site that seems to be Nikon related but it's getting hardly any traffic there so thought I'd take a wild chance and ask here.
