    Re: Great Deal

Not sure I have anything you would like to sample, Winchester21 told me that the bottle of McCallan 25 has gone bad and I should give it to him for testing.  Sorry, I believe I drank the stuff you like, got some real good Rums also, they are great with a good Cuban, got a ton of them plus some real good other sticks.

All are welcome to the sticks of GA, yes, good water, but it seems to be a little brackish.

Oh Yea... Maker's Mark... Yet another of my many many vices. :)

Here's the perfect Maker's Mark recipe...

It takes one short squat highball glass (no plastic please) + 7 (not 6, not 8) ice cubes frozen from good quality bottled water (Zephyrills is my favorite) + just enough Maker's Mark to come to the top of the ice cubes. Let the glass sit completely undisturbed for exactly 10 minute. Once time is up and the ice cubes have melted a bit drink or more accurately sip what you have created. If done right it should take about an hour or so to empty the glass. Bourbon nirvana. Oh yea... Do repeat as needed. :)

Can't believe someone doesn't want these, and for a meesely box of cigars.  Last chance, they will be cut up for firewood or turned into a kitty condo for the boys.

    Re: Great Deal

I am interested.  I followed your build of them and have long thought of building my own cornscalas.  These cabinets are beautiful and I'd love to have them.  Anyone out there able to help me get these to Louisville?

I would love to have them but alas, I don't have a great room for them, they would simply sit in storage.

    Re: Great Deal

Yea... I want them too... Pretty bad... The bad news is that they just won't fit in the spots they need to without a complete redesign & rebuild of my existing living room HT system.

In my case it requires moving my screen up several inches which would require reinstalling the IB subwoofer which would require rebuilding the roofline of my house. Ain't gonna happen. In the end I was looking at spending a whole BUNCH of $$ to take advantage of what is hands down the very best "deal" I've ever seen. Yes I spent time crawling around my attic with a tape measure trying to figure out how to make these work. Of course I could just buy a new house in order to accomodate a pair of speakers but that seems a little silly.

Somebody PLEASE get these. Put me out of my misery! The thought of CB cutting them up for firewood is killing me. [:'(]

    Re: Great Deal

Out of curiosity, does anyone know the ballpark figure for the total cost to finish these out? Cost of drivers, networks, etc.

    Re: Great Deal

You can probably regulate that cost yourself, depending on the quality of the components you put in it.  If you want to do it on the cheap and get some used stuff.  Woofers - $100, Horns and drivers - $200, Tweeter - $50, the crossovers will be the most expensive, unless you build the yourself.  Again it all depends on the quality of sound you want, don't hold me to this but, low end $400 to high end maybe $1000.  Lots will disagree but just my guess.

I'd love to have these but just way to far away.  Anyone planning a trip from CB's place to Las Vegas?

Trust me when I say nobody 'casually' happens to go by CB's place....  well...except perhaps Indiana Jones on one of his adventures.
