Ifi satellite speaker problem- burned through woofer cone

I purchased my ifi through klipsch a couple years ago so I believe it is out of warrenty. Just recently I noticed one of my speakers not sounding right. It turns out that the wire behind the woofer cone was heating up and ended up putting a hole in it. I really have no idea what to do.. It seems like this shouldn't happen and is a manufacturing defect but am I SOL since Im out of warrenty? Also I checked my other speaker and theres brown burn marks which gets me worried that its going to eventually happen to that one too.

     Heres some pics-

sigh, it seems like the wired polarity have been inverted accidentally that the wires start to overheat. either way, i think it cant be 'fixed' properly. u can try to seal it with something though.
