Problems on Brand New ProMedia 2.1 set

    Hi-

I recently purchased and just received yesterday a set of the mentioned speakers from klipsch.com.  After following the instructions and setting them up, the following issues surfaced-

1: left satellite has no volume

2: right satellite is very low volume with static

3: very loud thumping sound can be heard whenever it's on and playing something (every few moments)

4: turning the volume up voids the sound; sound can only be heard when the volume is at the minimum setting

5: sound plays fine when I plug a headset into the headset jack on the control pod (left and right)

edit: sound is the same without the thumping with a headset plugged into the jack on the control pod.  I hear some static and it's very low volume.  Turning up the volume knob knocks out all the sound altogether.

I'm quite new at this and don't know if I'm setting something up wrong or if I received a faulty unit.

    Please advise.

     Thanks!

No, he is saying to register your product so you can put in a claim for it and get a replacement from Klipsc (once they determine that it is faulty) Which will be done by calling support once you have registered the system, and yes, Keep the receipt. But it sounds like a control pod issue, they will probably just ship you another control pod. So good luck man, keep us posted on how things work out.

I registered the product- all I have is a packing slip; I hope that's enough.

Well, if it's a control pod issue that means I can stop tinkering with the software, heh.

     Thanks!

Yeah, you can stop, it is not a software issue, I have heard of this before, it is either the control pod, or the subwoofer's internal circuitry for the amps. either way it is  issue that will have to be dealt with by Klipsch.
