    When the wife is away........

Has anyone here been excited when their spouse mentions they are going out of town to visit family?  Yes, i will miss my wife and my 6 month old son.  But, i found myself waving goodbye, and then going insided putting on my favorite album, turning it up, and letting my cornwalls breath a little bit.  Has anyone else done this?

Oh so timely. My wife just left to visit her parents Friday to Monday. While I will miss her dearly, I can't wait to fire up the VRDs and let the music flow at a slightly elevated level from the khorns. I have so much to listen to, I hope I can get through 50% of it. Happy b-day Mom-in-law, but I seem to get the present this go round.

My wife doesn't drive so my time alone is very rare.  When one of the kids comes to visit, they know to make plans to take Mom out at least for a couple hours.  That way, next time they need a favor from Dad, he'll be more agreeable.Big Smile

When my wife is away, the furniture gets moved, the wall pictures and mirrors come down (to be temporarily replaced by acoustic panels), and the music sounds much better.  I find myself listening loud and late.
