    Re: FS: 20Hz Tapped-Horn Subwoofer

Being an owner of two horn loaded subs, I will tell you this thing will own that ported sub you have now. Or even those two ported subs you have.  You will need to provide a monoblock amp or a pro amp, as this thing is not powered.

    Shop sound system 9.4 (WIP):

    Preamp: Integra DHC-80.3
    Main amp: Integra DTA-70.1
    LCR: Klipsch KPT-904's
    LR Highs: Klipsch KPT-200's
    Surrounds: Klipsch LaScalas
    Rear Surrounds: Klipsch LaScalas
    Front subs: 2 Klipsch KPT-684's - Crown DSi-4000
    Rear subs: 2 Bill Fitzmaurice THT's - Crown XLS-202
    BluRay: Oppo BDP-93
    Turntable: Rega P5 w/Ortofon 2M Blue
    Projector: Epson 5020UB
Screen: DaLite 130" HC Cinema Vision

I like how the opening is out the side of the bottom, That is a little different from how Bill ports his, they come out the end for the tht ls and the tt ls.  I like it just to tall for my basement.
If I can't build it or fix it, I really don't want it.

    System in profile.

It will be too tall for most peoples living rooms as well. Most houses have 8 foot ceilings, meaning you wouldn't be able to stand this up once you got it inside. An older house, vaulted ceilings.... no problem.

I suppose you could lay it on its side.

I would love to hear one of these in a system.

It's exactly 95.5 inches tall for those who might be contemplating integrating this into their system.

    Re: FS: 20Hz Tapped-Horn Subwoofer

I still would like that sucker... it's just a logistical nightmare, and I would need to buy some additional equip in addition(if it was self contained/powered I might already own it).

probably a bad timing issue financially for me also, even though this thing would fit perfectly in my area. Just one of those things I guess.

anyway, bump for others... dont be scare, it's a wonderful creation.
