    Vintage Heresy II

After 25 years of being in storage i want to power up my Heresy II speakers and get that great sound i remebered. The question is, should the speakers be overhauled or checked by an electronics tech? Does Klipsh provide this service and is it necessary. all the speakers sound as if they work fine.

    Thanks,

    Anthony

    Anthony,

    Welcome to the forum.

Isn't it amazing how the Heritage Klipsch sound can remain in your head even after all those years.Music

It is a good idea but hold on before you pay a tech to do it.  Many technically talented members on this forum would be glad to help out for probably no fee at all.  Where are you located?  Maybe a forum brother in your area would drop by and have a look and offer suggestions.  This is a wonderful family we have here and it is very common practice for members to lend a hand or point you in the right direction.

You may have to replace the caps in the crossover networks.  Other then that I wouldn't worry.
    2-Channel System:
    - AES AE-1 Pre w/AES PH-1 Phono
    - Welborne Labs Moondog SET Monoblocks
    - Linn Axis w/Basik Plus
    - Jolida JD-100A w/2nd-Level Mod
    - Klipschorns
