What, all that time and only 640 posts? Tony, what are you doing- spending time LISTENING to your speakers or what?

Thanks for the interesting info. I had no idea that this Forum was that recent.

When I first started on the internet, I set up Colterphoto, then got different connection and software- so my 'name' was already taken. I just used Colterphoto1- it's stuck ever since. Wonder whatever happened to that other guy?

Actually, PWK set up a rudimentary Klipsch Forum in the 40's using telegraphy and Morse Code.

    dtel:

I have a question for Tony or who ever knows, If  it's something I shouldn't ask just say so.

I met Tony in Hope for just a second, never really talked, so I don't know. Did Tony work for Klipsch or was friends with PWK ?

I Know he is a not going to brag, so I thought I would ask, if it's personal just say so, it's none of my business but it is interesting ? Tony if you would rather not say, that's fine.

    dtel

I have never worked for Klipsch.  I was lucky enough to visit with PWK on various occasions and had the sad honor of being a pall bearer at his funeral. (the only time I've ever given in to being a pall bearer)

    I'd agree with Dean.

I've had the honor of being a PB six times now.  My 'career' started when I was about 12 at my grandmothers funeral.

    Re: Paleozoic forum members

I missed being a real old guy, joining in November of 1999.  I had just gotten a dial up connection through IIT (old, alma mater) for 30 buck a year.  I lurked for while, peering into the wonders of the Internet.

It was a bit of a lash-up.  Little old me huddled over a hand-me-down lap top, dealing with cranky software, in the dark of Chicago winter.  (Pause for drama.)  The gargling parrot sound on the modem.  (Pause again for drama.)  Then a connect.  Wow.  (Smile.)

It is interesting to think about those who are no longer here.  What happend to HornEd?  FilmoFreddy put up the Audio review of the K-Horn, early on.

Tony R, as I recall, set up the first Pilgrimage.  It was hush-hush and the arrangements were not on the open forum.  Everything by e-mail.  Thanks again Tony.

I was thinking of HornEd the other day, He had just got married and was not doing to well, hope he is ok .

Had looked up his resort and it was really nice, a little wild but nice.

Tony is definitely a great guy. Interesting on the first pilgrimmage. He set up the additional (supplemental) Arkansas gatherings... one at my house and one in Hope... kind of a force behind the scenes. Seeing the pics from that first gathering in the living room of Paul and Valerie... I think, wow.... what a memory that must be. A couple of years ago Tony did take me to meet Miss Valerie and I got to sit in Mr. Paul's leather wingback chair and listen to his three channel system. Driving back to LR I felt like I'd been standing on holy ground.

When Tony is not working, he spends his time, alot of time, being a great dad to his daughter.
