Dear Fellow Klipsch Lovers, 

HELP !!  Recently separated in NJ!  My KG 4.2's are without a doubt, the BEST speaker my ears have ever heard!!! I have only used them in a 2 channel stereo setup.  Always with a huge Denon CLEAN receiver (1994) CD's, CD's, CD's!!  Now all the sudden, I seperate from my wife/life/dog/cat and take my clothes, golf clubs, AND MY 4.2'S!!

My system now includes:

1.      SONY Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround 100w x 5 Receiver. (1998) 
2.      My KLIPSCH KG 4.2 Loudspeakers - Front L & R.  (1993) 
3.      POLK Center Channel - Dual 61/2" Drivers  **(2007)**
4.      POLK 12" 300w Powered SUBWoofer.  **(2007)**
5.   BOSE 151 Outdoor (my old deck) Surrounds (2000) 
6.      HD Cable Box w/ DVR (2007)
7.      Sylvania DVD Player - Line In Recorder (2007) 
8.       Upgraded Cables & Speaker wire
9.      Mitsubishi 35" REGULAR TV (1999) 

IT SOUNDS TERRIBLE !!!    I feel as though the Klipsch 4.2's are totally being wasted!!  TV, DVD's, Analog, Digital....ALL WORTHLESS!!! CD's still sound FABULOUS! (stereo mode only) HELP ME PLEASE, PLEASE!! I can't live like this anymore! I miss my "4.2 Babies!"  Are they being wasted as part of a "Home Theatre Surround 5.1 System??" 

Old equipment does not help!  NO HDMI, only 1 Digital/Optical on my Sony receiver, which is hooked up to the Cable Box!!  Everything is properly hooked up, settings are correct! All speakers are set to the correct "size!" I just don't get it!!

No, they are not being wasted, maybe poorly matched with the Polk, and Bose speakers you are now using for center and surrounds.Have you tried changing the output levels on them? I'm sure the KG4.2's are much louder than the others, and as you turn up the volume, the worse they sound.............. Hang in there Andrew, there will be others jumping in later that  have better knowledge than me, Welcome aboard the Good-ship KAOS ....................
