I am the second owner of a pair of Klipsch Forte II since March 1999. They have been treated with kid gloves and sound amazing. Serial number: 258291912. They look rough from the photo. Price is probably a little high. MO.

It might be your phone, but the corners do look pretty scratched and banged up/chipped.  Cabinet condition is usually a big factor in how much someone is willing to pay for a set of speakers.

Is there a reason why you want to sell them?  The Forte II has been regarded by many as the best sounding direct-radiator speaker that Klipsch has ever made! 

I am selling them b/c I just purchased a surround sound system for my house and these no longer serve a purpose. In a loft there just isnt enough room for all of my bachelor stereo equip. I love these speakers and they have been nothing less than amazing. I would be willing to trade them for heresy or another model Klipsch but these just take over the whole loft. So there's the story. There is nothing shysty going on here just time to move on. What price would you recommend for a perfectly operating pair of Forte II that are over 10 years old and don't look like they have come straight from the factory floor? Regards, Grahm Reynolds

I live in a loft and just installed a surround sound system. I have no more use for them but hate to get rid of them. Its now someone else's turn to rock this awesome set of Forte IIs.

I've got a pair of 89' Forte 2's, but how can anyone expect, after almost 20 years, that someone is going to have a pristine

set of speakers, w/o any blemishes or marks?  I would be more worried about the particular drivers in a system than some

cabinet problems.   If selling, you're better off starting a little on the high side, as it's easier to come down that to underprice and cut off some profit.

What would Stevie Wonder say if he got his sight back, and noticed one of his K-horns was walnut and one was oak - would he care , or just be grateful he was able to listen to the best **** speakers in the world!

 You might want to double check the footprint of the Heresy, I believe that the Forte has a smaller footprint although it is taller.

After I purchased a surround system I still use my Forte's for 2-channel.

If you lived closer to me I would be all over those. I feel $500.00 for Forte II's unless they are beat up pretty bad is a decent price.  

Those pictures look much better.  I think your asking price is very reasonable.  Someone will love them!
