Dead 4.1's! White noise from satillites, even with pre-amp plug un-plugged. Were do I start?

Came home to a loud *** scratching / white noise after work today.  My speakers are tweekin out man!

Makes the noise, even with all the plugs (sans power to the wall and speakers to sub module) unplugged (rca's and din plug removed).

It's predominately out of the left front speaker, and fades if I swap them to the surroud terminals.

It does it with the din and rca's unplugged, so I'm assuming it's something in the amp itself.

Any common components or values I should check?  I kick @ss at soldering, but don't know where to start trouble shooting.

    Thanks!

    Update -

I replaced R26, as it was cooked and flakey.

Now they work perfect for about 20 seconds, then the static kicks in.

What else can I check?  I measured R12 and it's 680 ohms, right on spot I believe.

Also - Radio Shack doesn't have crap for resistors...Hmm

    Replace TL082CN in the preamp
